CEO & Founder of the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation recently attended the world's largest event addressing climate issues and global problems.
From September 21 to 28, New York City hosted the world's largest annual climate conference outside of the Conference of the Parties (COP). Throughout the city, stages, meeting rooms, and public spaces were filled with discussions, announcements, and initiatives promoting real climate action.
The theme this year focused on progressive changes in clean energy, climate finance, technology, green energy jobs, and equitable decision-making on climate issues.
Yuliana Onishchuk, CEO & Founder of our foundation, regularly attends international events and conducts advocacy work. She highlights the current situation in Ukraine and emphasizes the importance of keeping this issue in the global spotlight. Yuliana recently attended Climate Week.
"It was important for me to personally experience the US community's current attitude towards Ukraine in the context of various industry developments, explore partnership and investment opportunities, and establish new contacts useful for the Foundation's activities," Yuliana said.
She also expressed concern about the significant decline in public discussion of Ukraine's problems and needs abroad.
These observations by Climate Week attendees are a timely reminder of the importance of regular international media coverage of events in Ukraine and public figures' participation in international events. After all, it is thanks to the support of foreign media that we attract partners who help our charitable foundation increase Ukraine's energy sustainability.
