Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation conducted a practical training for 100 students of Severynivka Lyceum. The training took place within the framework of the "Energy education for children and youth" project. Severynivka Lyceum became the 26th educational institution in Ukraine visited by the foundation's team. In total, the organization has already implemented 31 such intensives for Ukrainian communities.
The main goal of the initiative is to give young people a basic understanding of how energy works, what the differences are between renewable and non-renewable energy sources, how electricity gets to schools and homes, and how daily habits affect the environment.
This time, two groups of students from grades 8-9 and 10-11 took part in the training. The duration of each session was two hours.
The intensive program included:
• Practical research: school students studied renewable energy sources (RES) and manually tested educational models and alternative generation kits.
• Theory and analytics: children analyzed the concepts of electricity and learned exactly how light gets to their homes, schools, and communities.
• Gamification: interactive discussions, testing, and a team quiz to consolidate knowledge.
• Awarding: the foundation recognized the most active participants of the training with useful gifts.
Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation continues to scale the educational project for school students, adapting its program for different age groups. To expand the project, the team is open to partnership with businesses, charitable foundations, international organizations, and communities that seek to invest in the recovery of Ukraine through the education of children and youth.
