Arbuzynka students complete energy education course by Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation

At the end of the school year, 100 students of Arbuzyn Lyceum No. 2 named after T.G. Shevchenko completed the “Energy Education for children and youth” course delivered by Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation. The lyceum has become the 27th school to join the Foundation’s educational network. To date, this initiative has reached 2,305 students across various regions of Ukraine, empowering the younger generation to understand the principles of solar energy and its vital role in daily life and national reconstruction.
The intensive, hands-on program featured four key pillars:
Hands-on Research: Students explored renewable energy sources (RES) and conducted practical tests using educational models and alternative energy construction kits.
Theory and Analytics: Children learned the fundamentals of electricity, discovering exactly how power reaches their homes, schools, and communities.
Gamification: Interactive discussions, quizzes, and team-based trivia sessions were used to reinforce the material.
Awards: The Foundation recognized the most active participants with useful, practical gifts.
This initiative holds profound practical significance for the Arbuzyn Lyceum. The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation is currently finalizing the construction of a hybrid solar power plant for the school. This new solar system will ensure uninterrupted power supply even during blackouts, while the knowledge gained will enable students to understand the mechanics of modern energy technologies firsthand.
The Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to the Department of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports of the Arbuzyna Village council in the Mykolaiv Oblast for their invaluable support in implementing this program.
By pairing educational initiatives with solar power installations, the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation continues to inspire a new generation of Ukrainians who champion the value of green energy for the country’s future.
