The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation, in partnership with the "Razom з Kernel" Charity Foundation, has successfully launched the "Green Energy: Future Today" educational program across two communities in the Chernihiv region.
Over several weeks, 151 children explored the fundamentals of renewable energy and energy efficiency through hands-on STEM workshops. Participants studied the operation of both portable and ground-mounted solar power stations, built electronic circuits using educational kits, and learned practical resource conservation. They also took part in the "My House of the Future" creative contest and joined the "Energy Ambassadors" online intensive course to learn how green technologies drive community energy independence.
The Foundation emphasizes that the partnership with the "Razom z Kernel" Charity Foundation made the learning experience highly practical and accessible for children in Chernihiv region communities. During the sessions, students not only learned the theory behind solar power but also saw firsthand how a ground-mounted solar power plant operates and how solar energy is converted into electricity.
To date, the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation’s educational courses have reached over 2,000 children across 18 Ukrainian communities, partnering with 25 schools. The impact is clear: post-program surveys show that 94% of participants are ready to adopt energy-saving habits, and 93% state they now fully understand how energy systems work.
