The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation is continuing its cooperation with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), supported by Norway. Together, we are launching the construction of a hybrid solar power station for the Center of Ophthalmology and Eye Microsurgery at the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital.

The project includes installing a 60 kW solar power plant and a 145 kWh energy storage system. This will enable the medical facility to maintain uninterrupted operations during emergency power outages and ensure a stable power supply for critical medical equipment.

This marks the second joint project in Ukraine for the Foundation and NRC. In 2025, the partnership delivered a hybrid solar plant for the Zakharivka Multiprofile Hospital in Odesa Oblast. That facility received a 65 kW solar system and a 122.5 kWh energy storage system, allowing the hospital to operate autonomously during blackouts and save approximately €15,200 annually on electricity costs.

"It is incredibly valuable to us that partners with whom we have already successfully implemented projects choose to collaborate with the Foundation again. This proves that the solutions we implement for Ukrainian hospitals work effectively and meet the real needs of communities," said Yuliana Onishchuk, CEO & Founder of the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation.

The Norwegian Refugee Council is an international humanitarian organization operating in over 40 countries, providing assistance to people affected by conflict and crises. Joint projects with the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation aim to strengthen the energy resilience of Ukrainian medical facilities amidst the ongoing war.
