Yuliana Onishchuk, CEO & Founder of the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation, participated in the large-scale Energy Tech Summit organized by Octopus Energy, which marked the opening of London Climate Action Week 2025. One of the key topics of the event was strengthening Ukraine's energy resilience: its role in the European energy transition and its potential for international investment.
The summit took place on June 23, 2025, united global leaders in clean technology, innovation, and energy digitalization, as well as political and public figures. Participants discussed how to make energy more accessible, secure, and environmentally friendly through artificial intelligence and digital solutions.
A dedicated discussion panel focused on Ukraine. “Ukraine is a tremendous investment opportunity,” emphasized UK Energy Minister Michael Shanks, underscoring the country’s vast energy potential.
Positive feedback on the potential of Ukraine's energy system was also voiced by the founder and CEO of Octopus Energy Greg Jackson, who noted the extraordinary speed of recovery in the sector following russian attacks and underlined the prospects for solar energy development. “Clean energy is exactly the solution the world needs,” he said. “Ukraine will have the most advanced and resilient energy system.”
Octopus Energy is a partner of the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation, supporting the installation of renewable energy and battery storage projects on schools and hospitals across.
Participation in the summit provided Yuliana Onishchuk with an opportunity to present the сharity organisation’s achievements and strengthen international partnerships. “Ukraine is already part of the global energy future. And at the Energy Tech Summit, I was once again convinced — the international community sees us not only as a heroic nation but also as a reliable partner in the green transition,” noted Yuliana. “As a charity fund, we prove every day that energy resilience is not an abstraction but a tangible benefit for communities that, thanks to solar power installations, can continue to operate even during power outages.”
We are proud to once again stand among the leaders of energy transformation. Last autumn, at the Wired Energy Tech Summit, Yuliana Onishchuk made a powerful statement about Ukraine, sharing the nation’s challenges during blackouts and the foundation’s experience in deploying solar energy amidst the war.
We are proud to be the voice of Ukraine in the world.
