Cooperation of the Foundation with Solar Power Europe

Our Foundation joins Solar Power Europe, one of the most powerful solar associations in the world, representing 280 solar energy organizations in 40 countries.

This year during the Solar Power Summit opening, the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, and the Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, Anna Moskwaemphasized the importance of helping Ukraine and developing solar energy to eliminate dependence on Russian gas.

It was announced about the donation campaign, ‘Solar Supports Ukraine’ launched by our partner German Solar Industry Association (BSW), SolarPower Europe, and the Ukrainian Solar Energy Association (ASEU). The goal of the ‘Solar Supports Ukraine’ campaign is to collect up to €300,000 to finance the solarprojectsat schools and hospitals, procuresolar off-grid trailers and solar powerbanks.

Our Foundation is the implementing partner at the ‘Solar Supports Ukraine’ campaign. Within this initiative our Foundation will be installinghybrid solar systems in:

- Bucha Lyceum No.3. During the occupation of Bucha, this lyceum was the headquarters of Russian troops and was seriously damaged by them. The building has since been restored with the help of international organizations. This lyceum focuses on inclusive education, allowing all children to study there without exceptions.

- Chernihiv Regional Clinical Hospital which is the largest healthcare facility in the Chernihiv region, providing medical care to the adult population of the entire region. The hospital serves about a million Ukrainians. The hospital building was damaged by missile attacks and artillery shelling.

We thank Solar Power Europe for their support!
