Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation has been shortlisted for the Emerging Europe Awards 2023 in the category Green Energy Initiative of the Year.
The Emerging Europe Awards, the part of the Future of Emerging Europe programme, is an annual celebration of the region's achievements in sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship (23 countries of Central, Eastern, South-Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus).
Gaining recognition on the international stage is a big step forward for the development of the Foundation's activities. Currently, our focus is on helping educational institutions, healthcare facilities, medical professionals and war-affected communities in Ukraine by supplying energy equipment with a focus on renewable energy and the organization of solar power plant installation. Our goal is to install hybrid solar systems at 100 schools and 50 hospitals affected by the war in the de-occupied or frontline areas of Ukraine.
Winning the Europe Awards 2023 will help us not only to draw the attention of the international community to the Foundation's activities, but also to find new donors to implement our campaigns and ensure energy independence of social and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
