A strategic water utility in Kirovohrad region gains energy independence
The Ukrainian charitable organization Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation together with the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps, within the framework of the “Solar water utilities” project, have equipped a water utility in Kirovohrad region with a hybrid solar power plant. Thanks to the newly built station, a town with a population of more than 15,000 people will now have uninterrupted water supply even during blackouts.

Solar Step: a free course for women in solar energy
September 1 registration opens for Solar Step — a free training course for women launched by the Ukrainian Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation. The program is made possible with the support of Mercy Corps in partnership with KSE Graduate Business School. Its main goal is to strengthen the workforce potential of the solar energy sector and provide women with opportunities for professional growth in this field.

Women break the myth of energy as a “male” industry — new study
The Ukrainian charitable organization Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation has conducted the first nationwide study, “Barriers and challenges women face in transitioning to the solar energy sector.” Its findings dispel persistent stereotypes about the industry and knowledge surrounding it, while highlighting that barriers for women still remain.
