Solar power plant for Balta multidisciplinary hospital

“For life-support equipment to run, for surgeons to work, and for patients to recover, a stable power supply is essential — uninterrupted light, even in the darkest times.”

- surgeon at Balta Hospital

The Balta community is one of the largest in the Odesa region. It unites the city of Balta and thirty-three surrounding villages, with a population of over 34 000 people.

Here, the first modern reperfusion center in Ukraine has been opened — providing emergency care for patients with cardiovascular diseases.

The hospital is equipped with an angiograph, a life-saving device for people suffering from acute myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular conditions.

This technology will significantly reduce mortality and disability rates caused by these diseases — giving many people a chance to live.

A hybrid solar power station is a solution for hospitals that ensures they have electricity even when the central grid goes down.

It eliminates the time lost on switching on a generator - which means life-support equipment never has to be paused.

Frontline regions such as Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Dnipro have already demonstrated the effectiveness of this system: for several hours at a time, hospitals were able to operate thanks to the solar power station.
